Chesapeake Watershed Forum

Annual regional gathering for watershed groups, local government staff, and partners working in the Chesapeake Bay watershed including Pennsylvania's Susquehanna basin.

The Chesapeake Watershed Forum is the premier annual gathering for watershed stakeholders throughout the six-state Chesapeake Bay watershed. Held in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, the three-day event includes workshops on restoration techniques, funding strategies, advocacy, and partnership building. Pennsylvania groups regularly attend given the Susquehanna's major role in the Bay. Scholarships help smaller groups afford registration, travel, and lodging. Sessions are hands-on and peer-led, making the Forum a strong venue for practical skill-building. Many new watershed coalitions have formed from connections made at the Forum. The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay coordinates the event with input from partner organizations.
