Project WET is one of the most widely used water education curricula in the world, offering K-12 activity guides, teacher workshops, and classroom resources that align with state science standards. The curriculum covers water science, conservation, hydrology, and watershed dynamics through hands-on activities. Pennsylvania has a state coordinator who trains educators and distributes materials to schools and nonformal settings. Teachers and informal educators attend a 6-hour Project WET workshop to receive the activity guide and become certified facilitators. Workshops are often offered free or low-cost through partnerships with conservation districts and watershed groups. The curriculum is particularly strong for grade 4-8 and integrates well with Envirothon preparation.
