North American Lake Management Society (NALMS) Symposium
Program Summary
Annual scientific conference and training for lake, reservoir, and watershed managers focused on lake health and management best practices.
Full Description
NALMS's International Symposium is the premier annual gathering of lake management professionals in North America. Sessions cover harmful algal blooms, lake restoration, watershed management, invasive species, citizen lake monitoring, and dam management. For Pennsylvania watershed groups working on reservoir and lake issues (Lake Erie, Lake Wallenpaupack, Raystown Lake, etc.), the symposium is highly relevant. NALMS also offers member publications including Lakeline magazine and the Lake and Reservoir Management journal. The Society hosts regional chapters and online webinars throughout the year. Student and early-career member rates make attendance accessible. The annual symposium rotates locations across the continent.
