The Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grants program helps communities strengthen systems that capture and manage stormwater and prevent untreated sewage from reaching waterways. EPA announced FY25 and FY26 allotments on April 29, 2026: Pennsylvania receives $1,365,000 (FY25) plus $1,366,000 (FY26) and West Virginia receives $633,000 per year. Funds flow through state administering agencies, and the program prioritizes projects in small and financially distressed communities, where no state cost share is required. Municipalities in the H2O service region should watch their state programs (PENNVEST/PA DEP in Pennsylvania, WV DEP in West Virginia) for project solicitations under these allotments.
