Full Description
Established through a Consent Decree resolving alleged unauthorized discharges in the Raccoon Creek watershed, this fund supports restoration, preservation, and protection of water quality in Raccoon Creek and its tributaries. Eligible work includes AMD/AML remediation, stream restoration, riparian buffers, green infrastructure, water quality monitoring, land conservation and easements, and education and outreach. Projects that fund upfront monitoring or planning to leverage state or federal dollars are also eligible. Match improves an application but is not strictly required. Letters of Intent are reviewed on a rolling basis; full proposals are reviewed twice a year in spring and fall. Larger requests are welcome after a conversation with FPW.
