West Virginia Section 319 Additional Grant Opportunities (AGOs)

Small, episodic Section 319 mini-grants for nonpoint source outreach, planning, and construction projects outside the standard watershed grant track.

AGOs target nonpoint source pollution issues in water bodies that may not be formally impaired, and fund special projects not typically supported through watershed project grants, including outreach, planning, and construction. When AGO funds are available, select organizations are notified and the announcement is posted to the WVDEP site; applicants submit a letter of intent through the LOI portal and selected applicants are invited to submit a full workplan. Budgets should fall between $2,000 and $20,000 with a 40 percent non-federal match, and projects must be implemented within two federal fiscal years. All Section 319 funds are reimbursable, so recipients need a FEIN, SAM registration and UEI, a W-9, and documented accounting, procurement, and governance procedures.
