EPA SWIFT Webinar: Building Winter Weather Resilience for Water Sector Utilities (January 13, 2027)
Program Summary
Free one-hour EPA webinar on January 13, 2027 covering the winter seasonal outlook, freeze and ice storm risks, and tools utilities can use to plan winter weather resilience projects.
Full Description
EPA's SWIFT initiative hosts this free webinar on Wednesday, January 13, 2027, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET. It reviews the winter seasonal outlook, walks through the SWIFT technical assistance experience, and highlights tools to help utilities assess how winter weather affects their systems and identify resilient solutions. Winter freezes, main breaks, and power loss hit small Appalachian systems hard, so this is a practical session for operators and managers across PA, OH, and WV. CEUs are not offered, but EPA will provide supporting documentation for state agencies.
