EFCN Webinar: Wastewater Lagoon Optimization Strategies (December 1, 2026)
Program Summary
Free one-hour webinar on practical ways small lagoon systems can boost treatment performance and stay in compliance.
Full Description
Lagoons are one of the most cost-effective ways for small communities to treat wastewater, but performance slips when sludge builds up, systems get overloaded or flow short-circuits. This webinar shows operators how to calculate hydraulic retention time, spot short-circuiting and sludge buildup with field measurements, read effluent data to troubleshoot problems and apply fixes. It pairs well with the RCAP Wastewater Lagoons O&M Manual already in the library. It has not been submitted for continuing education credit, but a certificate of attendance is available.
