EPA promotes this as one of two flagship online training courses for grant applicants and recipients. It covers grants management practices for organizations receiving EPA assistance agreements, scaled from small nonprofits to state governments. EPA awards more than $4 billion annually in grants and other assistance agreements, and this course is the primary onboarding resource for new applicants. For a small watershed nonprofit taking its first federal award, this is the training that prevents the compliance problems that show up in year two.
