Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training (GIFT)

Fundraising training organization focused on building power through grassroots, community-based resource mobilization for social justice nonprofits.

GIFT supports social justice nonprofits in building sustainable, community-based funding models that don't rely on institutional grants. Training topics include individual donor programs, fundraising events, monthly giving, and integrating fundraising with organizing. GIFT publishes Grassroots Fundraising Journal and hosts the Money for Our Movements conference. For environmental justice-focused watershed groups, GIFT offers a perspective that complements standard foundation-centric fundraising training. Scholarships are available for grassroots organizations. The resources and books available through GIFT (including Kim Klein's classic fundraising texts) are staples of the small nonprofit library.
