NRCS Regenerative Pilot Program
Program Summary
New NRCS pilot investing $700 million through EQIP and CSP to fund whole-farm regenerative conservation plans that improve soil health and water management.
Full Description
Launched December 2025, the Regenerative Pilot Program bundles regenerative practices such as cover crops, nutrient management, drainage water management, grazing management, and no-till into a single EQIP/CSP application. Producers complete a whole-farm assessment, adopt at least one primary regenerative practice, and perform soil health testing in the first and last contract years. $400 million flows through EQIP and $300 million through CSP. Strong fit for agricultural watersheds across PA, OH, and WV where these practices reduce nonpoint source pollution.
