The Conservation program has four investment areas, and its stewardship priority Improving Water Quality and Ecosystem Health explicitly funds stream channel restoration, aquatic organism passage barrier removal, riparian buffer reforestation, and mine lands restoration. That is about as direct a match as exists for acid mine drainage and headwaters work in western Pennsylvania.
