Western Pennsylvania Watershed Mini Grants

Annual mini-grant program giving western and north-central Pennsylvania watershed groups up to $3,500 for water quality monitoring or restoration and up to $2,500 for outreach. The 2026 cycle closed March 31, 2026; WPC has announced applications for the 2027 cycle open in fall 2026.

Three funding tracks are available: water quality monitoring up to $3,500, restoration projects up to $3,500, and organizational promotion and outreach up to $2,500. Eligible counties include Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Fayette, Westmoreland, Beaver, Butler, and Indiana among 20 others. The program is funded by BHE GT&S, a Berkshire Hathaway Energy subsidiary, and the small award size makes it realistic for all-volunteer groups.
