SRBC is the interstate-federal compact commission responsible for managing water resources across the Susquehanna River basin. It regulates consumptive water uses, monitors water quality, manages drought response, and coordinates flood management across Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland. SRBC maintains one of the most extensive real-time water quality monitoring networks in the region. Watershed groups in the Susquehanna basin should coordinate with SRBC on projects that affect streamflow, water quality, or groundwater. SRBC provides technical assistance, data access, and permit guidance. The commission's public meetings are open to all stakeholders and a good venue for raising basin-wide concerns. The SRBC Fund provides limited grants for special projects.
