Penn State Extension's Water Resources team delivers science-based water quality and supply education to agricultural, homeowner, and community audiences throughout Pennsylvania. Programs include private well education, septic system care, agricultural water quality, stormwater best management, and drinking water protection. Extension educators are based in county offices throughout the Commonwealth. Watershed groups partner with Penn State Extension on landowner outreach, workshop delivery, and citizen science projects. The team also publishes extensive printed and online guides on water-related topics, available free at extension.psu.edu. Master Well Owner Network volunteers are trained through Extension to support rural drinking water education in their communities.
