Groundwater Foundation / National Ground Water Association

conference

Program Summary

Annual national gathering focused on groundwater science, management, and education — highly relevant to Pennsylvania's well-dependent rural communities.

Full Description

Groundwater Week is the largest annual gathering focused on groundwater in North America, combining the National Ground Water Association convention with the Groundwater Foundation's events. Topics include well drilling, aquifer protection, groundwater quality, remediation, and education. For Pennsylvania — where over 3 million residents rely on private wells — groundwater education and protection are critical. The Foundation also runs the Awesome Aquifer Kit program for educators, the Protect Your Groundwater Day observance, and community groundwater protection programs. Watershed groups working on well head protection or rural water education can access these resources and connect with groundwater professionals through Groundwater Week programming.
