EFCN Webinar: Basic Water Hydraulics for Drinking Water Operators (November 10, 2026)
Program Summary
Free one-hour webinar that walks drinking water operators through core hydraulic concepts and the everyday calculations they rely on.
Full Description
This webinar covers how hydraulics shape water movement through treatment plants, storage tanks, transmission mains and distribution systems. Operators will review key terms like flow, pressure, velocity, head and friction loss, and how flow, pressure and pipe size relate. The session works through common calculations for flow rate, velocity, volume and pressure conversions with operator-focused exercises. It is aimed at both new and experienced operators at small systems. It has not been submitted for continuing education credit, but a certificate of attendance is available.
