Full Description

The Environmental Law Institute is a nonpartisan environmental law and policy research center publishing the Environmental Law Reporter and numerous books on environmental law topics. ELI's water quality work includes analysis of Clean Water Act implementation, wetland policy, and groundwater protection. Publications are valuable reference for watershed advocates working on regulatory and legal issues. ELI hosts an annual award dinner, continuing legal education seminars, and occasional training workshops for nonprofit leaders. The Institute's research reports are often cited by advocates in regulatory comments and litigation. Some publications are free; others require ELI associate membership or individual purchase. Law libraries and larger nonprofit libraries often have ELI collections available.
