The Nature Conservancy — Pennsylvania Chapter

State chapter of the world's largest conservation organization, leading freshwater and forest protection initiatives across Pennsylvania.

TNC's Pennsylvania chapter works on large-scale freshwater and forest conservation, with major initiatives in the Delaware, Susquehanna, and Ohio River basins. Programs include the Working Woodlands forest protection program, freshwater biodiversity monitoring, floodplain reconnection projects, and climate resilience planning. TNC's scientific rigor and capacity make it a valuable partner for ambitious multi-year initiatives. Watershed groups can partner with TNC on restoration design, prioritization mapping, and grant applications. TNC staff scientists are often willing to provide technical review on conservation projects. The chapter maintains multiple preserves, some of which are open to the public for education and research.
