Waterkeeper Alliance

International network of over 350 Waterkeeper organizations providing training, resources, and legal support to local water protectors around the world.

Waterkeeper Alliance is the umbrella organization for 350+ Waterkeeper groups worldwide, including several in Pennsylvania (Three Rivers, Delaware Riverkeeper Network, Mountain Watershed Association's Youghiogheny Riverkeeper). The Alliance provides training, legal support, communications resources, and grant opportunities to member Waterkeeper organizations. It also runs international campaigns on issues like factory farm pollution and plastics. Communities interested in starting a new Waterkeeper organization can apply to join the Alliance through a structured affiliation process. Current affiliates receive organizational support, access to member-only resources, and invitations to annual meetings. The Alliance also advocates at federal and international levels on water policy issues.
