PA DEP 2027 Environmental Education Grants (Applications Due November 13, 2026)
Program Summary
Pennsylvania DEP's 2027 Environmental Education Grants offer about $420,000 in Seed, Grow, and Impact awards for projects that build public understanding of air quality, water quality, land use, and climate change.
Full Description
DEP announced the 2027 cycle on October 6, 2026, with about $420,000 forecast for awards. Three tiers are available: Seed Grants up to $5,000 for local projects, Grow Grants from $5,001 to $30,000 for large-scale implementation, and Impact Grants from $30,001 to $65,000 for the capacity and sustainability of broad-scale projects. Projects must raise public understanding of environmental issues and encourage stewardship or advocacy, and priority goes to projects that reach Environmental Justice areas and other underserved communities. The project period runs July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028. Review the 2027 EE Grants Manual on the DEP Environmental Education Grants page before applying. The program is funded by 5 percent of annual DEP pollution fines and penalties under the Environmental Education Act of 1993. This is the fresh annual cycle of the program already listed in the library.
