Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD)

grant

Program Summary

Project assistance grants for water quality and flood mitigation work within the Muskingum River Basin in eastern and central Ohio.

Full Description

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District runs the Partners in Watershed Management program to assist local communities, agencies, and organizations with projects that advance the conservation and flood control elements of the MWCD mission. Eligible applicants include political subdivisions of the State of Ohio, IRS Section 501 organizations, and other groups carrying out programs or projects tied to watershed management and water quality improvement in the Muskingum River watershed. The Muskingum is the largest wholly-contained watershed in Ohio and drains to the Ohio River at Marietta, putting it squarely inside H2O's Ohio River headwaters geography. The Ohio Department of Agriculture's watershed funding table, updated August 3, 2026, lists an application due date of September 1, 2026. NOTE FOR REVIEW: the September 1, 2026 date comes from the ODA table, and MWCD's own program page could not be retrieved during this scan. Some MWCD materials describe applications as accepted year-round. Confirm the current deadline and guidelines with MWCD before publishing.
